Richard E. 'Rick/Rich' Russell, age 73, of Pawley's Island, South Carolina, formerly of Beaver Falls and Dearborn, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Born July 5, 1953, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Richard W. and Doris (Prothero) Russell. He worked for Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad, then ABC golf and retired from AT&T. Rich was a proud member of the Patterson Township Volunteer Fire Department. He was the Joe Namath Scholarship recipient to play football at Lehigh University.
Rick lived to play golf and enjoyed his time in South Carolina because he would go out on the links several times a week. He was a constant joker and would find any reason for celebration. While in Dearborn, he enjoyed playing cornet with the Scottsville Clown Band. Above all, Rick enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He took any opportunity to brag about his daughters.
In addition to his parents, he was recently preceded in death by his wife; Laureen (Pyka) Russell, and a brother, Ronald Russell.
He is survived by three daughters; Jenn (Chad) Snyder, Beth (John) Kemp and Clare Russell, two grandchildren; Owen and Abby Snyder, two brothers; Rob (Susan) and Ray Russell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced and held at a future date. Arrangements entrusted to the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074.
