Robert C. Johnston, 88, of Beaver, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his home. He was born March 23, 1933 in Potter Township, son of the late Elmer and Sophia (Hohage) Johnston. Robert proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his honorable discharge he returned home and began a long and rewarding career with Nova Chemical. Through the years, Robert enjoyed many weekend visits and vacations to Geneva on the Lake and Conneaut Lake with his loving wife Jackie. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Beaver.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years: Mildred “Jackie” (Witouski) Johnston, on July 21, 2013; two brothers: Edward W. Johnston and James C. Johnston.
He is survived by Leslie (Bill) Hare, his neighbors who provided watchful care; and brother-in-law through marriage: Mike (Jeane) Witouski of Freedom.
