Ronald E. Dean, age 73, of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022. Ronald was born July 6, 1948, he was the son of the late Lester and Mary L. (Davis) Dean. Ron was a life member of Steffin Hill Presbyterian Church and enjoyed helping whenever he could. In the last few years he enjoyed helping with the monthly community dinners. After graduating from Beaver Falls Area High School he worked at the Holiday Inn, Beaver Falls, and Rainbow Room, William Penn Hotel, Pittsburgh. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970. He served in Viet Nam from May 26, 1968 until May 25, 1969, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal, the Viet Nam Service Medal with four Bronze Stars, and he was a marksman with a rifle. After the Army, he worked for the United States Postal Service in Pittsburgh, and then in Beaver Falls until his retirement. In the 90's he bought a trailer at Holiday Camplands in Andover, Ohio which he loved and enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. Ron loved shopping, yard sales, antiquing, cooking, watching old TV shows like 'Leave it to Beaver', 'I Love Lucy', 'The Golden Girls', and his WQED Cooking shows.
He is survived by his sister, Martha Hoegle of Beaver, Elizabeth (Scott) Tudor of Beaver Falls, nephews; Sgt. Gregory Hoegle of Barstow, CA, Jonathan Hoegle of Beaver and TSgt Kevin Hoegle of Bridgewater. Also surviving are great nephews; Tyler Makray, Josh (Stephanie) Paniagua, Michael Hoegle, Liam Hoegle, and great nieces; Emily (Ian) Frye, Stephanie Paniagua, Sophia Hoegle, as well as a great great nephew; Jude Luevano, and great great nieces; Isabelle Rodriguez, Amina Paniagua, Clarissa Martinez and Scarlett Paniagua. He will be missed by many cousins and friends, including his beloved cocker spaniel Tristan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in law, John Hoegle.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10am until the time of funeral services at 2pm SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
