

Rose Moore, 74, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Beaver Falls, passed on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 while under the compassionate care of Kobacker House Hospice. Rose was born May 31, 1941 in Beaver Falls, daughter of the late Linwood and Eunice (Bell) Johnson.
She retired from the Beaver County Department of Corrections. Rose was creative and artistic. She was an accomplished interior decorator. In her leisure she enjoyed a variety of crafts from stitching and sewing; Mason jar candy holders to wreaths and angels, stunning floral designs to Christmas decorations for the wall or tree. Most of all she loved making delicious meals at family gatherings and shared her favorite recipes for fruit rolls and nut rolls.
Rose was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Beaver Falls and the Second Baptist Church, Midland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Tom Robinson, Lee Robinson, Linwood Johnson, Jr. and Eugene Johnson; two sisters: Evelyn Robinson and Mary Thomas.
Rose is survived by two sons: Paul Moore, Detroit, MI; Monte Moore, Columbus, OH; two daughters: Kimberly Moore, Rock Hill, SC and Rochelle Moore of Columbus, OH with whom she resided; her dear sister: Ida Gordon, Pittsburgh, PA; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Her home-going service will be celebrated at 2 p.m. immediately following the visitation with The Reverend Travis Coon, officiating.
