

Ruth Maxine Farrar, 85, of Conway, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2016. She was born June 1, 1931 in Canaan, West Virginia, daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Gregory) Rice.
A woman of deep faith, she was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Maxine was a long-time, active member of the Conway Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her brothers Arthur and Calvin and her sister Virginia.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Herbert H. Farrar; two sons and daughters-in-law: William and Debbie Farrar, Baden; Gary and Joya Farrar, Lisle, IL; grandson: Emmett (Kate) Farrar, WI; step-granddaughter: Tiffany (Adam) Dick, Cranberry Township; great grandchildren: Melanie and Patrick; step-great grandchildren: Rylee, Evan and Hanna; two brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Eleanor Rice; Ernest and Kay Rice, all of Morgantown, WV; and her sister: Edna Friend, Lorraine, OH; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of her service, at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
