Terry “T.K.” Barr, 84, of New Brighton, passed away peacefully in his home on July 8, 2021. He was born on January 13, 1937 in Rochester, PA. He was the son of late Paul E. and Ethelyn (Blinn) Barr. Terry graduated from New Brighton High School in 1954 where he was a member of the football team for 4 years and baseball team for 2 years. He began working for J&L/LTV Steel where he worked as a welder and retired in 1986 with 31 years of service. During that time, Terry served in the Army at the White House in Washington, D.C. He served with Eisenhower and J.F.K. as a signal corp. specialist. After discharge, he resumed working at LTV and joined the Beaver County Aval Air patrol and was named Sgt under command of Captain Lillian Southwick. He also served as deputy sheriff for 2 years, patrolman in Pulaski Twp. for 2 years, and Rochester Twp. for 7 years. After his J&L/LTV retirement, he drove bus for BCTA/Dart Transportation for 13 years. Terry volunteered as a manager of the New Brighton Pony League baseball association where he coached the team to 2 championships.

He was a past member of the New Brighton Rotary, New Brighton Recreation Association, and a 32nd degree Mason of New Brighton Lodge 259 and the New Castle consistory. Terry was an avid New Brighton Lion and Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He looked forward to Friday night Lions games and Sunday afternoon Steeler games. Win or lose, he was their biggest fan. He also enjoyed classic cars, car shows, and cruises.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brother James “Jim” Barr, son-in-law, William Gray Sr., and granddaughter, Tara Rae Gray.

He is survived by his two twin daughters who were his whole world: Pam (Mike) Thellman, of South Beaver Twp. and Tammy Gray, of New Brighton, Four grandchildren William “Billy” (Danielle) Gray Jr., of Hopewell Twp., Brooke (John”JJ”) Nalesnik, of Darlington Twp., Bryanna (Dan) Ryan, of West Virginia, and Tyler (Allison) Thellman, of Brighton Twp., six great-grandchildren, Liam, Silas, Hadley, Hayden, Sutton, and Jasher, several nieces, and special friends Pete Palijash, Ron Sheets, Stan Derosky, and Lee Bell.

Friends will be received at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum) on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 6 -8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until time of funeral services at 11am with full military honors and gun salute by the Beaver County Special Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lodge 259 or the Grace Lutheran Church in Rochester. Private burial services will be held for family at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester, PA.

"UNC"...as we, his only nieces [Bonnie, Kathie, & Laurie {Barr}] , lovingly called him...was the sweetest, kindest man. He is greatly missed but we know he's strong & healthy again...reunited w his parents & brother, Jim, (our Dad, deceased '17). Here they are, one of their final times together. GO NB LIONS & PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!

Terry was ‘Unc’ to me & a great guy! I have many great memories of cookouts & pool time at his house. He always shared his Sunday time with the girls when they were young with me too & I loved going to Mcdonald’s with them! He will surely be missed very much. Rest in peace ‘Unc’.
