
Thomas Anderson, Jr., 89, of Rochester Township, passed on Friday, April 14, 2017 at his residence. He was born May 10, 1927 in New Brighton, son of the late Thomas and Viola (Pander) Anderson. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific and American Theaters.
Thomas was a retired ironworker with Local 3 out of Pittsburgh. He was a member of the Coraopolis Lodge #674 F. &A.M.; Chartiers Commander No. 78 Knights Templar, Carnegie; St. Clair Royal Arch Chapter No. 330, Carnegie; Beaver County Caravan #18 Syria Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. He enjoyed his participation in the Caravan riding his full-dress Harley. Thomas was a member of the Mt. Carmel U.P. Church, Aliquippa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his loving wife Dorothy (Bissell) Anderson on November 27, 2009; and his brother Richard Anderson.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, with whom he resided: Richard and Vickie Hocanson, Rochester Township; three grandchildren: Richard Hocanson, Lower Burrell; Douglas Hocanson, Virginia Beach; Spencer Hocanson, Rochester Township; one great grandson: Landon Hocanson, Lower Burrell; and his sister-in-law: Jody Anderson.
