William W. McKenzie, age 93, of Monaca, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Brighton Twp. Born July 20, 1927, in Chicora, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mildred McKenzie. William was the former owner and operator of the Dairy Queen in Aliquippa for 43 years, and was a United States Air Force Veteran, where he served as a First Lieutenant Navigator. He was a member of the Strategic Air Command (SAC), flying the C-124 Globemaster.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Alice 'Babe' (Waltman) McKenzie in 2017, a granddaughter; Sydney Rae McKenzie.
He is survived by two sons; William (Kathy) McKenzie Jr., David (Sarah) McKenzie; four grandchildren; Kait McKenzie Fiumara, Megan McKenzie Ricketts, Mallory Hink, and Jordan McKenzie, and eight great grandchildren.
