Born in Pittsburgh, on December 22, 1915, he was one of nine children to the late Joseph S. and Susan (Mutlach) Schreiner. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 259 and New Brighton United Methodist Church, where he volunteered his time with Angel Food Ministries.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (1993); his son-in-law, Robert; his brothers, Joseph, Jr., Frank and Eddie and his sisters, Elizabeth and Anna.
He will be remembered and missed by his children, Connie Krenkel and William and Phyllis Schreiner; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his brothers, Oliver and Harvey and his sister, Lillian.
Friends will be received Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4-7pm at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 273 ROUTE 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11am with Rev. R. Scott Berkley officiating.
Interment will follow services at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
