Ada P. Malone

Ada P. Malone, 70, of Byron, IL was called home at 5:25 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2022. She was born on February 15, 1952 in Rockford, IL. The daughter of Enry and Trudell (Hicks) Purifoy. Ada married Donald Malone on December 26, 1984 and together they had 3 children. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, crafting, and talking about the Lord. Ada will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Ada is survived by her son, Donyell Malone Purifoy; her daughter, Dominique Malone Purifoy; her grandchildren, Princess, Del’Ree, and Vy’Uella Carrington; close family friend, Fabian Carrington; her siblings, Judy (Edward) Seals, Randy Purifoy of Little Rock, AR, Wayne Purifoy, Brenda Purifoy of Rockford, IL, and Robert (Tabitha) Purifoy of Detroit, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Zavar Malone Purifoy; her siblings, Claude Ferguson Sr., Roger Purifoy, Candace Billberry, Pamela Sharp, Bridget Purifoy; her nephews, Tyrone Perkins Purifoy, Tavarous Woodfork; her great-nephew, Christian Purifoy; and her niece, Yolanda Billberry.

Funeral Service for Ada will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St., Rockford, IL 61102. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
