Alexander "Gene" J. Revolinski

Alexander J. (Gene) Revolinski, (89) of Poplar Grove, IL. died on Friday, July 14, 2023. Gene was born to John and Charlotte Revolinski in Rockford, IL. on October 28, 1933. He grew up in Belvidere, IL. and served in the Air Force in the Korean War as a young man. He married the love of his life, Lillian Gilleylen on June 19, 1956 and they raised their four daughters in Belvidere. He was active in his church, Faith Baptist of Belvidere, IL.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lillian, daughters, Debbie (Bob) Kidder of Shell Lake, WI, Diane Revolinski of Caledonia, IL, Darlene Revolinski of Glen Allen, VA, and Dory (Rick) Kidder of Shell Lake, WI; grandchildren, Curt (Julie) Kidder, Chad (Andria Syverson) Kidder, Beryl (Jessica) Lawrence, Stephanie (Chris Seymour) Schneider, Randy (Kelsey) Kidder, Kelly (Paige) Kidder and Rachel Kidder; great-grandchildren, Karli, Alayna, Kelsey and Ella Kidder, Ethan and Scott Lawrence, Adele and Madison Schneider, Raelynn and Easton Kidder; brother, David (Carol) Revolinski of Cherry Valley. Predeceased by his parents, John and Charlotte and brothers, Stanley and Johnny Revolinski.

The family would like to thank the staff at Amberwood Care Center and ProMedica Hospice for the kindness and care they showed Gene in his final days.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church, 1637 7th Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008 with a luncheon to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church of Belvidere Parking Lot Fund.
