Bill Eddington, 58, of Rockford passed away Friday March 21, 2014. Born July 16, 1955 to the late B. Wayne and Francis V. Tate. Bill married Brenda Eddington on June 9, 2012. Bill is survived by his step-daughters Melissa and Natalie Gibbons, his sister W. Jean Tate, numerous aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews and his lifelong friends Jim and Jan Meyer of Oak Lawn, IL. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and held a certificate in Business Management from Illinois Central College. He was employed by CST Industries in DeKalb, IL for 12 years. Bill enjoyed Star Wars movies, games and memorabilia. He loved to spend time with his friends in online gameplay as well as with his four dogs. Bill was an avid Bears fan and followed politics closely. He was not a man of many words, but showed his love and caring through his actions. Bill has touched many lives and will be missed by all.

A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be Thursday March 27, 2014 at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State St. in Rockford with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Willwood Cemetery.
