Carolyn Stroud, 60, of Rockford passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born December 5, 1949. Carolyn was employed at Haldex for 21 years. Survivors include her husband Arlond, children, Louise (Roger) Collins, DeAnna (Steve) Ottens, Donald (Rhonda) Sowl III, LeRoy (Cindy) Sowl, Steve (Sheila) Stroud, sisters, Mary (Jim) Hargroves, Linda (Jim) Lewis, Sue (Rudy) Gonzalez, grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Theresa, Christiana, Megan, Matthew, Nicklaus, Alexandria, Breanna, Jennifer and Hanna; eight great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Ron Stroud. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, October 18, 2010 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102. Visitation will be from 2-5 pm Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
