Charles Thomas Matlock was born October 27, 1950 in Sparkman, Arkansas to Willie (Cook) and Benny Matlock. He was employed at Valspar for more than 30 years before retiring in 2008. On July 17, 2011 Charles Thomas Matlock went to be with the Lord. He was surrounded by his loving wife Etha, his two sons Kirk and Charles, and his adoring daughter Scherri. Charles was a quiet, humorous, and giving man. Charles’s philanthropic acts were received by all those he encountered, in need. He leaves behinds three adoring grandchildren Kirstin and Kennedy Porter, and Xavier Matlock, siblings, Benny (Freddie Mae), James “Nay Nay” (Tanya), Dennis “Red” (Warnette), Caroline Sue Bivens, May Sue Johnson, Lilly Faye (Jonny) Penix, Ruthie Matlock, and Linda Thesa Golden, sister-in-law Jan, and a host of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, a brother, William “Sonny” (Jan) Matlock, and a sister, Dorothy Matlock. Charles Thomas Matlock’s humor, kindness, and generosity shall be missed but never forgotten.
