Daniel Lawton Kittle, age 76, of Winnebago, Illinois passed away at home surrounded by loving family on Monday December 18, 2023. He was born to Mary and Arnold Kittle in Marquette, Iowa on August 26, 1947.
Daniel was a big outdoorsman, he loved to trap shoot, hunt, and fish. He also was a huge Packers fan. But his favorite activity was spending time with his grandkids.
Daniel is survived by his wife, JoAnn Kittle; children, Patrick (Theresa) Kittle, Colleen Kittle, Gregory (Kathleen) Mitchell, and Laurie (Vincent) Mioni; grandchildren, Jeremy (Heather) Mitchell, Zachary (Megan Mueller) Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Charles (Alyse) Mioni, Logan Kittle, and Eric Kittle; three great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Jamie) Carey and Doug Cary; and dog, Tillie Girl.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Arnold Kittle; son, Charles J. Mitchell; step-dad, Bill Carey; siblings, Karen, Judy, Jeanie, Marie, Sylvia, Earl, Roger, Jennie, Betty, and Debbie; sister-in-law, Patty Carey; and furry companion, Theodore “Teddy”.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street, Rockford, Illinois 61102, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
Daniel will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115-2277.
