

Daniel A. Lute, 62, Rockford, passed away at his residence in Rockford on April 28, 2012. He was born on October 11, 1949 in Imboden, Arkansas to Marvin and Ruby (Newton) Lute. Daniel was raised and attended school in Missouri.
He moved to Rockford in 1972 and married Cynthia “Cindy” Gossard in 1974. Daniel worked for many years at Gunite and later was the owner of Lute Tree Farm. He enjoyed old cars especially his ’36 Plymouth, fishing, “digging his trees” and spending time with his granddaughters.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his daughter Paula (Steve) Bade and granddaughters Haylin and Brooklin Bade. He is also survived by his mother, Ruby Sappington; brothers, Marvin (Carmen) Lute, Gus Sappington and Jesse Sappington; sisters, Naomi (Tom) Shannon, Esther (Ken) Holderbach; several nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws; and Maddie- his little pup.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Lute and his father –in-law and mother-in-law; John and Jean Gossard.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 4th, 2012 from 12 pm to 2:30pm at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street, Rockford. Private burial will follow later at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N Alpine Road, Machesney Park.
