David A. Underwood, 55, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017. Born July 26, 1962 in Rockford, IL. Son of Dale and Patricia (Neath) Underwood. United in Marriage to Darla Burris on November 30, 1985 in Berean Baptist Church in Rockford. David found great enjoyment in everything outdoors from fishing, camping to listening to music and playing his guitar. He loved his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and will be greatly missed by all of those knew him.
Survived by his loving wife, Darla; daughter, Tracie Burris; son-in-law, James Darr; grandchildren, Austin, Michael, Johnathan, Justin, Jessa; siblings, Daniel (Gina) Underwood, Laura Hatfield, Ellen (Bear) Rodgers, Terri Rohland, Penny (Scot) Smith, James (Karen) Hayes; numerous nieces and nephews; friends and family from Emerald Acres Campground II. Predeceased by his parents; son, Scott Burris.
