Donna Aileen Riggle, 66, of Winnebago, IL passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 22, 2022. She was born in Walnut Ridge, AR on October 19, 1955 to Olen and Mildred (Stephens) Dawson. Donna married her soulmate, Leslie Riggle on June 16, 1979 and together they raised two wonderful children. Donna enjoyed attending church at New Life Bible Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word searches. Donna loved to color, sing, and took pride in her writing. She loved her family but her grandchildren were extra special to her. Donna was a very selfless person with the sweetest soul. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Donna is survived by her husband of 42 years, Leslie; her children, Nicole (Larry) Hunt and Brandon (Kelli) Riggle; her grandchildren, Austin Smith and Isabella Hunt; her siblings, Joann Karberg, Wilma Brewer, Mary Broadway, Jerry (Peggy) Dawson, Sharon (Glen) Eldridge, Jimmy (Debbie) Dawson, Beverly (Van) Wilder, Billy (Joy) Dawson and Brenda (Gary) Zissler; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Mildred; her siblings, Anna, Alvin, Nancy, Norma and Janet; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Pastor Tim Spickler and all of the staff at OSF St. Anthony Hospital, especially nurse Diane and Praj for all of their compassion and care during this difficult time.
Funeral Service for Donna will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at New Life Bible Church, 2285 N. Hoisington Road, Pecatonica, IL 61063. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial to follow in Willwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made in Donna’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
