Doris “Kathy” Riesen, 54, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on July 16, 2026. Kathy was born on June 5, 1972, in Rockford, to Danny and Patricia Cagle. Kathy was extremely family oriented, and loved sharing a meal with her loved ones. She particularly looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, especially Denver. She also enjoyed shopping and finding a good garage sale to look through. Her favorite pass of time was a long drive around, especially with a fresh pack of smokes.
She is survived by her children, Trey (Destiny) Dees, Danny (Loretta) Dees, and Ashlee Gries; grandchildren, Danielle, Willy, Annabelle, Riley, Leia, Elianna, Nami, DJ, and Denver; father, Danny Cagle; sister, Mary Holloway.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Cagle; brother, Donny Cagle.
