Edwin J. Quante, 93 of Rockford, passed away November 14, 2014. Born September 4, 1921 in Keil, WI; he was the son of Edwin J. and Hulda (Rosenbauer) Quante Sr. He married Leticia Gabriana on February 23, 1989 in the Philippines.
A retired welder, he was owner of the Ed Quante Sod Farm. He also was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp.
An inventor and hard worker at heart, Ed enjoyed raising fruit on his farm, wood working, watching golf and game shows.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Leticia Quante; children, Bette (Michael) Burnett, Larry and Honeybell Quante; grandchildren, Nathan, Dawn, and James Quante; sister, Grace Dietel-Ensign; brother, Williard Quante; nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers.
