Evelyn Horton, 83, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born February 21, 1928 in Soledad, CA the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Givens) Griffith. She was an avid reader. Evelyn married Manuel Horton. Survivors include her daughter Robin Kloster, grandchildren, Brittany (Matthew) Scott, Kitra Cox and Kila (Nicholaus) Harwick, great-granchildren, Kamryn, Bronx, and Daegan Scott, one sister, two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse, one sister and three brothers. Per Evelyn’s wishes there will be no services. Entombment will be in Willwood Burial Park.
