Grace M. Hanley

Grace M. Hanley, age 78, of Machesney Park, Illinois passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. She was born September 20, 1946 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Peter and Josephine (Giangrosso) Sparacino. Grace married Dennis Hanley on July 24, 1983 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford. She and Dennis were proud foster parents for many years, providing a safe and loving environment for over 100 children. Grace was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church and the Ellida Lodge. She worked as a support specialist with DCFS for several years. Grace adored Elvis and his music. She enjoyed doing the jitterbug with her brothers. Grace loved traveling around the United States. Most of all, Grace was a loving and compassionate person who only saw the best in people.

Grace is loved and missed by her children, Rick Twine, Andrea Twine, Todd (Ericka) Larson, Larry Hanley, Joe Hanley, Porsche Hanley, Mercedes Hanley and Angie Hanley; grandchildren, Adam Twine, Kurtis Masterson, Dakota Masterson, Stephanie Larson, Eric and Jeanette Deboef, Brianna Larson, Alyssa and Tyler Hanley, Kyla and Bailey Richter, Hope Hanley, Joe Hanley and Beau Hanley; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dennis, daughter-in-law Cindy Twine, brothers Anthony, Sam and Peter Sparacino and sister Catherine Selby.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3. 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Love. Entombment to follow in the Chapel of Love.
