J. Carole Wilder

Jo Carole Wilder, 66, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at her home in Loves Park, IL. Born May 13, 1954 in Belvidere, the daughter of Clifford Earl and Betty Jane (Larson) Alex. She married Douglas Lee Wilder on October 28, 1996. Carole is survived by her husband, Douglas Lee Wilder; her two children, Sherry Lynn (Jonathan) Christian of Rockford, and Yolanda Kaye Elkins of Evansville, IN; her grandchildren, Terry Douglas Elkins, Shawn Michael Broshears, Travis Scott Broshears, Hunter Lee Ashley, Kaitlin Mire Broshears, and Tonya Renee Kirk of Indiana. She was predeceased by her parents and two former husbands, Ernest Allen Wilson and Donald Wayne Elkins. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2021 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL 61102. Cremation rites have occurred. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park, IL.
