James A. Aurand, 73, of Rockford, passed away February 12, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family. Born August 10, 1937 in Rockford. Married Nancy Boyer on October 5, 1957 and then married Mary Braun on August 19, 1995. He worked at National Lock, the Rockford Register Star, was a bus driver for Barbara Olsen School of Hope and at the movie theater at North Town Mall. He was an avid Bears and St. Louis Cardinal Fan. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Survived by his wife Mary; children, Mike (Deryle) Aurand, Mark (Willy) Aurand, Lisa (Terry) Jones and Tonya (Tim) Williams; grandchildren, Kelci, Kreymer, Tracy, Hayley, Olivia, Lily, Jeremy and Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Connor, Christopher, Logan, Jonathan and one on the way; several brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and beloved dog, Taco. Predeceased by his parents and first wife, Nancy. A memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 18, 2011 in Family Bible Fellowship Church, 3015 Ridge Ave. Cremation rites have been accorded.
