James "Jim" V. Mundt, 66, of Loves Park, IL, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026. He was born November 27, 1959 in Rockford, IL, the son of Victor and Patricia (Hobson) Mundt. Jim graduated from Harlem High School and went on to work at Lindquist Industries in Rockford. He could be found walking all around town. Jim will be remembered for helping anyone he could. He was a friendly and kind man who will be missed.
Jim is survived by his aunt, Norma Jolliff; uncle Duaine "Bud" (Dee) Hobson; two sisters, Connie and Lisa; as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Patricia Mundt.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL 61102 with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park, IL.
