Janet Carol Magin, 83, of Rockford passed away Monday July 5, 2021. She was born on October 21, 1937 in Pittsburg PA, daughter of Dorothy and Edward Phillips. Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She took great joy in taking care of the children in her life. Janet often enjoyed black coffee and word search books. On August 18, 1956 she married Thomas Magin, they raised 7 children and spent 62 years together in marriage. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children; Tom Jr. (Dawn) Magin, MaryLu Shumaker, Sandy (Jay) Hanson, and Randy Magin. She is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly, as well as son in law; Dave Shumaker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband; Thomas Magin Sr. children; Pam Scandroli, Tim Magin, Jon Magin, as well as 3 Brothers and 1 sister.
Interment in Willwood Burial Park with graveside services will be July, 16 at 2pm.
