Jimmie was born on May 18, 1945 in Richland Center, WI, the son of James and Violet (Hinkle) Hardy. Jimmie was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Jimmie worked on cars for many years. He loved to build remote control cars and build clocks.
Jimmie is survived by his father James; brothers Rodney Hardy and Gary “Pete” Hardy (Margaret); sister Gloria Huckabee; children Sheila Boyd (Randy), Linda Miller and Brad Smith; 7 grandchildren and2 great-grandchildren.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother Violet and sister-in-law Gail Hardy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
A service to celebrate Jimmie’s life will be 5:00 p.m. Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation 7000 W. State St. in Rockford with a visitation one hour before the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after the funeral.
