Kenneth “Ken” Edward Strom, 87, of Rockford, IL. died Sunday, October 8, 2017, in his home. In a life well celebrated Ken was a veteran of the Navy and served in Korea. In 1955, he married Marcella Seeling. He was a valued employee with Sundstrand having worked there for over 35 years until retiring. He would showcase his talents in woodworking, creating beautiful keepsakes for his family. He maintained a beautifully groomed yard. Ken was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. He was content when surrounded by his family. He was born in New Britain, CT. on May 8, 1930 to Olaf and Lillian (Peterson) Strom.
Survivors: children, Kenneth and Karen Strom; grandchildren, Troy (Jessica) Strom, great-grandchildren, Saavy, Lola and Broxton Strom; brother, Warren Strom; many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; wife, Marcella; siblings, Edith Pearson, Elizabeth Robbins, Bobby Strom.
