Lisa Foster

Lisa D. Foster, 57, of Loves Park IL, passed away July 28, 2020. Lisa was born on March 12, 1963 to Mary and Charles Childress in Knoble Arkansas. Lisa graduated from Harlem High school, and went on to serve the Rockford community for many years as a child care provider. Lisa loved children and was passionate about childhood development. She enjoyed the crafts and time spent with children at numerous daycares over the years. Lisa went on to have two children of her own, Chelsey and Miranda, whom she loved dearly. She was a creative and passionate woman who loved painting, sculpting ceramics, and drawing on her free time. Lisa was also a life-long Chicago Bears fan, as well as a collector of snow globes. Lisa’s favorite time of year was during the holidays where she would gather with her family, she especially loved Christmas.

Lisa is survived by her loving children; Chelsey Childress, and Miranda Foster, her grandchildren Avalyn, Chloe, and Micah Felda, her siblings; Belinda “Lyn” (Vern) Vyborny, James “Pete/Chota” Childress, Tina (Greg) Bankey, and Gail (Steve) Shirey, father of her children; John Foster, as well as numerous nieces and cousins who she loved dearly.

She is predeceased by her parents; Mary Ricker and Charles Childress, brother; Charles “Denny” Childress, and nephew; Ronald Bankey.
