Lloyd R. Hansen, 93, of Rockford, Il. died Sunday, August 27, 2017 in the care of the Manteno Veterans Home, Manteno, IL. Lloyd was a proud veteran of the Army AirCorp serving in WWII. He was a devoted Catholic and a longtime member of St. Bernadette Church. In 1950 he married Mary Colliton. She preceeded him in Jan. 2000. Lloyd was born in Mason City,Iowa to Peter and Eva Hansen.
Survivors: children, Mary Varcato, Anita (Tim) O’Dell, Catherine Haynes, Thomas Hansen; grandchildren, Nicholas Varcato, Bryan O’Dell, Killian Haynes, Kearsten Haynes; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Varcato, Fayron Varcato; great-great-granddaughter, Mattie Moore. Predeceased by wife, Mary, children, Mark Hansen, Teresa Hansen; grandson, Luke Varcato; son-in-law, David Varcato.
Visitation: 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State St. Rockford, Il. Burial following in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL..
