

Lorraine was born on October 14, 1927 in Rockford. She was the 7th of 11 children born to Emil and Lulu (Larson) Sadewater. She married Oscar Davis on December 10, 1948 and Oscar died March 23, 1974. Lorraine married Earl Tracey on March 29, 1975, Earl died on September 16, 1999. Lorraine attended Rockford Schools and worked as a waitress at The Eklund Café on 7th street, The Log Cabin Restaurant at the Old Railroad Depot and at Trudy’s on West State Street. Later she worked 21 years at Atwood Vacuum Machine and for 21 years at Bon Ton Distribution, retiring in November of 2006. Lorraine attended Evans United Methodist Church; She loved making Swedish Pasties for her family and friends. She also loved her trips to the casinos with family and friends.
Lorraine is survived by her sons Rick (Diane) Sanders of Sarasota, FL., Gerald (Denice) Davis of Pecatonica, IL. and daughter Sharon (Robert) Atkins of Roscoe, IL.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-children, step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; brother Francis Sadewater of Rockford; sisters Joyce (Richard) Whittington, Violet (Edward) Johns, Harriett Bussan all of Pecatonica and Pat (Doug) Bressler of Leesburg, FL.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Edward, LaVerne, Stanley and sisters Phyllis and Dorothy Carlson.
The family would like to thank Lorraine’s special neighbors and friends, also a thank you to VNA Hospice for their loving care.
Memorials may be given in care of the family.
At Lorraine’s request there will be no services and cremation rites have been accorded. Private family graveside service will be at Willwood Cemetery with Pastor Teri Lafferty officiating. Advantage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
