Louis married the former Marlene Lindsay in 1945.
Louis is survived by his wife Marlene; son mark L Cagnoni; daughter Drusilla M.Cagnoni (Alexander Jacobs); granddaughter Risa Cagnoni Jacobs; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased in death by son Gary R. Cagnoni in 1996 from an Automobile Accident; two brothers: Bruno and Alfred (Bud); two sisters Mary Lombardo and Arlene Nelson, parents Peter and Louisa Cagnoni.
No public memorial service will be held. Donation may be given to Natural Land Institute 320 S. Third St. Rockford, IL 61104
