Lyle J. Jack Magin, 80, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Born June 1, 1938 in Rockford, IL. Son of Louis Eugene and Laura (Ridgeway) Magin. Veteran of the United States Army. Attended Illinois Wesleyan University. Was an Elementary School Techer for 30 years having taught at Beyer, Nashold and West View schools. Lyle found great enjoyment in planting his flower gardens and photography. He was a worldwide traveler having traveled to Germany, London, Japan and China to just name a few. His love of photography really came into play with the slide shows he would make for his family to see. When Lyle decided to move into retirement he donated his house to a family in need.
Survived by his sister, Saramae Parrott; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; infant sister Mary Lou Magin; siblings, Annetta J. Renstrom, Marlyn Barrickman, Janell L. Mace, Donna Lee Swenson, George Magin, William Joseph Magin, Louis “Junior” Magin, Carroll Magin and Joyce Lowery, Thomas Wayne Magin Sr. Family would like to thanks Peterson Meadows for their loving care.
