

Manford William Perkins Sr., 84, of Machesney Park, passed away Saturday April, 16, 2016. Born in Beloit, WI on July 31, 1931. Son of Robert and Margaret (Bowman) Perkins. Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. Married Lorraine A. Krueger on February 28, 1953 in Rockton, IL. Worked as a screw machine set up operator at various factories throughout Rockford having retired from Aquamatic. He enjoyed family gatherings and going for motorcycle rides with his family and friends. In his spare time he collected coins, tools and working on motorcycles. He even had completely restored a Mustang car. Loved to watch any war movie and loved to go dancing.
Survivors include son, Manford Perkins Jr.; grandchildren, Douglas, Jim, Tanya, Jennifer, Dylan, Tommy, Trevor; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special niece, Patty Ford; special friend, Sharon Betts. Predeceased by parents; spouse; siblings, Mary Ultragot, Robert Perkins, Rose Lucian; sons, Robert and Frank; grandson, Robbie Perkins.
