Mary Lue Hall, 92, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her loving family on the morning of Friday, January 30, 2026. Mary Lue was born October 30, 1933, in Palatka, Arkansas, to Burrel and Rosie Miller. On May 26, 1951, Mary Lue married the love of her life, Lewis “Louie” Hall Jr., in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Together, they made the journey to Illinois. She retired from Eagle Foods after spending over 30 years with them at several locations. She was a faithful member of North Park Church of Christ for many, many years. Mary Lue looked forward to the warmer months of the year, as it meant a busy season of tending her flower beds, carefully ensuring their blooms were strong and bountiful. Above all else, Mary Lue’s family meant everything to her. In her younger years, she looked forward to the annual family fishing trips to Canada. Her caring and loving spirit was always evident, but especially felt during the holidays. Even this past Christmas, she made sure everyone had a Christmas card personally handed to them. She loved to cook for her family, and her gravy and fried chicken was always absolute perfection.
