Norman L Reed

Norman L. Reed, 76, of Rockford passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at his residence with family by his side. Norman was born in Browns Valley, MN, the son of Sylvester and Agnes Reed. Norman was an excellent finish carpenter and could build anything (no job was too small or big for Norman); he also was a great mechanic on the side and one of the best pool players in the area. Norman is survived by his sons: Tom, Richard (Clara) and David; daughter Tammy (Rodney) Cousino; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister Marlene (Dennis) Mullendore; brother Neil Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents, children’s mother Bonnie L. (Smith) Reed-Poole, brothers Francis, Don, Larry, Elwood, Willis and Darrell; sister Arleen; his best friend Tommy Thompson; his special companion Josephine McGuire.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State St. in Rockford; visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Willwood Cemetery.
