Patricia L. Black

Patricia L. Black, 90, of Rockford passed away Tuesday August 24, 2021 at Amberwood Care. Patricia was born on April 17, 1931 in Chicago, the daughter of Merrill and Ruth Buzzell. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd; she loved her beloved Chicago White Sox, working puzzle book and keeping up with all the news reading her newspaper. Patricia is survived by her daughter: Susan (Ray) Fraley; son Robert Black; grandchildren: Jennifer (Ruben) Cabral, Thomas (Dalila) Fraley, Robert (Jody) Black Jr. and Teresa (Scott) Raper; great-grandchildren: Laryan Cabral, Joshua Olmstead, Jessica Olmstead, Isabella Fraley, Gia Fraley, DJ Bell, Cairo Bell and Layla Bell. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters and her daughter-in-law Margaret Black.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Patricia’s life will be Tuesday August 31, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 West State Street in Rockford. Cremation rites have been accorded.
