

Paula Jean Orr, born in Madison, Wisconsin on August 27, 1948, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026 in Cottage Grove Wisconsin, surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved daughter of Richard and Alice Wagner, both of whom preceded her in death years earlier.
Paula graduated from Holtville High School in California, Class of 1966, and later that year married her first husband, Kenneth W. JeSchonek Sr. until divorcing in 1975. In November of 1992, she married her second husband, James Leon Orr, with whom she shared many joyful years until his passing in December of 2018.
She is survived by her two children families, Kenneth and Melchora JeSchonek, and Kimberly P. Bautz, and cherished granddaughters, Rachel and Sarah Bautz. Also, her younger siblings, Rick Wagner and family in Las Vegas NV, James Wagner and family, also in Las Vegas NV, and youngest sister, Pam Rouse and her family in Casper WY. Paula's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family.
From 1967 to 1989, Paula lived in Madison WI, where she worked for the City of Madison in a number of positions, including police dispatcher, and parking meter reader. Then later as a water meter reader for Dane County. She was an active member of the Daughters of DAVs, creating lasting friendships, and fond memories. Paula also found joy in her Thursday night bowling league at Badger Bowl, and proudly supported her children's Saturday morning bowling in their younger years, serving as league secretary for over a decade.
In 1989, Paula moved to Las Vegas NV, to be closer to her retiring parents, and three siblings, all moving into the Las Vegas Valley area with their families. There, she worked for the Clark County School District in various roles, with her favorite being in the maintenance department, where she processed work orders until her retirement in July of 2010.
Paula had a lifelong love for animals, raising her children alongside a lively household of dogs, cats, and even a set of box turtles. After marrying Jim Orr 1992, their home became a haven for pets, with many dogs, cats, and even a few parakeets, all lovingly cared for over the decades.
In her final years, Paula resided at Drumlin Reserve Memory Care, in Cottage Grove WI, where she was surrounded by the compassionate, and dedicated staff who treated her with dignity, and kindness.
Paula will be remembered for her generous spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her deep compassion for animals. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
