Raymond Hertzner, age 56, of Machesney Park, Illinois passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Ray was born on March 12, 1968 in Rockford, Illinois to Michael and Gayle Hertzner. Ray enjoyed tinkering; always staying busy trying to fix and restore motors of any vehicle he could get his hands on.
Ray is survived by his children, Ryan Hertzner, Tyler Hertzner, and Shayla (Jeremy Spivey) Hertzner; grandchildren, Jordan Spivey, Kinsley Spivey, and Kane Spivey; siblings, Lisa (Ray Swanson) Thrasher, Keith (Kathy Cook) Hertzner, and Brian (Kirin) Hertzner; nieces and nephews, Kristen Hertzner, Aaron Hertzner, William Hertzner, Brandon Hertzner and Cody Northrup. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Gayle Hertzner; sister, Michelle Hertzner.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11am to 1pm at Advantage Funeral Home (7000 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102).
