

Robert (Bob) B. Ronk, 55, of Rockford, Il, passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 5th, 2014. He was born on March 23rd, 1959 in Rockford, Il. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1977. Bob was a route driver in the local area for over 30 years. He had a love for sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Hawks. He had a passion for music and playing the drums. He loved going fishing with his daughters and grandchildren. The biggest love of his life was his family. His personality was loved by all. He was known to put a smile on everyone's face with his sense of humor and quick witty jokes. No matter what the situation, he could make you laugh. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for someone if he was able. He was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will truly be missed by many and never forgotten.
Predeceased by parents Vernon and Phyllis Ronk.
Survived by daughters Jamie (Curt) Ellis, Stephanie (Eric) Griffin, grandchildren Tyler, Coby, Brayden, and Brianna. Bother Steve (Lori) Ronk, niece/nephews Danielle (Max) Hillman, Brandon Ronk, Chris Ronk, and many other loved ones and special friends.

A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 10, 2014 at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State St. in Rockford. Visitation for Bob will be Friday May 9, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that you wear your favorite sports attire in Bob’s honor at the visitation.
