Robert S. Gray, 68, of Rockford, IL, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 1, 2021 after a long illness. He was born March 4, 1953 in Bristol, TN, the son of Marvin K. “Kelley” and Annie U. (Dean) Gray. Robert worked as an electrician for 30 years. He enjoyed playing bingo and building model cars and airplanes. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Robert is loved and missed by his children, Christopher Gray, Jeffrey Gray, Corey Gray and Cara Gray; grandchildren, Janessa Gray, Blaine Gray, Isabella Kirchner, Jakob Robert Kirchner and Karson Kirchner; as well as his special “sister”, Judy Sager. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL 61102 with a visitation to be held from 1:00 p.m., until the time of service. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
