Roger was born on May 31, 1938 in Waterford, WI, the son of George and Helen (Carney) Pierce. Roger married Judith Townsend on October 6, 1956 and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2015. Roger enjoyed Cub baseball, NASCAR and Ice Road Trucking TV show. He also watched soap operas, game shows and cooking channels, which were all favorites of Judith’s.
Roger is survived by his 8 children, 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, wife, twin sons, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday November 13, 2015 at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State Street in Rockford with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
