Stanley Robert Branson

ROCKFORD, IL Stanley Robert Branson, precious husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2015, after a courageous fight with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Stanley was born Sept. 14, 1937 in Sandwich, IL to Bryant and Irma (Whitehouse) Branson. Married Judy K. Waeffler Sept. 30, 1959 at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Gale Devore Officiating. Member of Beth Eden Methodist Church. Stanley had a strong faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ, whom he trusted completely. He raised his children to love the Lord and was active in Prayer Ministries “Prayer Circle” for 34 years. Throughout his journey, Stanley was supported by his loving family which includes a wonderful brother, brother-in-law, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Stanley loved the outdoors and spending time with loved ones and family.

Survived by wife Judy, sons; Robert S., Steven M. (Caroline), Michael (Gretchen) Branson; daughters Susan L. and Angela Branson; 5 grandchildren, Connor Branson, Christian Branson, Elijah Branson, Juan Salcedo, Josie Salcedo. Predeceased by parents; sisters, Frances and Audrey. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for Stanley’s care along with the many prayers from family and friends.
