Tammy S Karrow

Tamara Sue Karrow, age 65, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Allure Nursing Home in Sterling, Illinois. She was born July 12, 1960 in Sterling to Robert and Sharon Karrow. Tammy was the middle child, older brother, Tony (Judy) and younger sister, Trudy . She was a graduate of Polo High School in 1980 and was a member of St. Mark’s Church in Polo. She worked at the Polo Nursing Home for many years.

She loved painting ceramics with her mother at the Plaza Ceramic Cellar. When she went to Allure Sterling she helped out in the Activity Room, painting, drawing, and playing games. She made many sweet friends at Allure over the years. She was a Bengals Football fan, loved cooking, watching older movies, and watching trains go by with her friend, Matthew.

She is survived by her brother, Tony (Judy) Karrow; nephews, Chad (Danille) Karrow, and Alex (Melissa) Karrow; niece, Brittney Karrow; 6 precious great-nieces and nephews, Rylyn, Morgan, Maddox, Trevor, Peyton, and Mack; and very nice long time wonderful friend, Matthew Hoyle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sharon Karrow; sister, Trudy Karrow; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Celebration of Life is going to be Sunday, July 12 at Allure of Sterling Nursing Home in the Activities Room from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, please stop by and share some nice memories of your time with Tammy.
