Thomas James Arrington

Thomas James Arrington, 63, of Rockford, passed away after a sudden illness on Saturday, May 9, 2020. Born on September 2, 1956 in Rockford. Son of Claude and Ann (Mandris) Arrington. Veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam. Tom worked as a machinist at Barnes Drill. United in Marriage to Anita Baney in 1981 and together they had one daughter, Lisa. Even though they didn’t stay married they still loved another and remained close. Tom found enjoyment in riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, his dogs, having a good smoke and kicking back at home to watch TV. He loved his daughter, Lisa who was forever his Daddy’s Girl. Tom was an easy going, lovable and caring man who would do anything for you who could also be very stubborn at times.

Survived by his loving daughter, Lisa; grandsons, Joseph (fiancé Ashley Meiners) Torres IV, Isaiah Metcalf; great-granddaughter, Olivia Margaret Torres; siblings, Claude Arrington, Patti (Roger) Flood, Douglas Arrington; former wife and mother of Lisa, Anita Arrington; several nieces and nephews; special dogs, Bella, Rezzy and Ozzy. Predeceased by his parents and sister-in-law, Gayle Arrington.
