Travis G. Stanphill, 75, of Stillman Valley, IL, formerly of Rockford, IL, passed away Tuesday evening, September 1, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 15, 1951 in Rockford, IL, the son of James H. and Elwanda M. (Smith) Stanphill. He married the love of his life, Catherine Healy on April 4, 1981 in Rockford. Travis was employed at Elmhurst, Chicago and Stone in South Beloit. He attended Firstborn Ministries. Travis enjoyed fishing and doing things with children and grandchildren. He enjoyed a good game of chess. Travis will be remembered for being a faithful man, who always had his family in mind.
Travis is loved and missed by his wife of 45 years, Catherine; children, Ted (Dagi) Stanphill, James (Pam) Stanphill, Ivory Teresa Frye, Christine Whipkey, Jennifer (Marty) Hefter, Kasandra Whipkey and Faith Whitman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Charles and Keith Stanphill.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL 61102 with a funeral service to begin at 12:00 p.m. and officiated by Pastor Wendell Maynard. Burial to follow in Willwood Burial Park.
