

Veda B. Morris, 92, of Rockford, passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born November 11, 1923 in Fairmont, West Virginia. Daughter of James Burl and Hallie (Carter) Pumphrey. Moved to Rockford in 1967. Employed by various manufacturing factories within the area throughout her career. She took pride in her home and always made sure it was ready to welcome company. In her spare time she loved to crochet. After retirement she enjoyed traveling to anywhere she could. One of her favorite pastimes was being a part of friends and family gatherings. She was very humble and selfless. She always thought of others before herself.
Survived by children, Lucy (Skippy) Woolbright and Rusty (Rose) Long; grandchildren, April (George) Beaty, Stephanie (Chris) Jacabson, Angie Long, Bobby Wright, Tonda (Mike) Arbaugh, James (Christine) Pupmhrey; great-grandchildren, Truman, Tyler, Brett, Austin, Destiney, Tori, Morrison, Summer, Timmy, Jonathon, Levi, Austin, Jaylan, Dylan, Ashley, Cody, Miranda, Tessa, Mickie, Tori A, Alexa, Mehki, Vineiamca, Adien, Jaxon, Mickle, Savanna and Allalison; great-great-grandchild, Emma; her beloved little dog, Lucky. Predeceased by her parents; son, Jimmy Pumphrey; grandson, Kevin Wright.
