Vernon Edward Hoffman, 60, of Rockford passed away Friday October 13, 2017. Vernon was born on June 6, 1957 in Rockford, the son of Edward Vernon and Genevieve D. Hoffman. Vernon loved going mushroom hunting, metal detecting, collecting coins and stamps.
Vernon is survived by two sisters: Betty Dant and Phyllis (Terry) Bishop; several nieces and nephews.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; sister Dawn Lovell and brother Edward Hoffman, Jr.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Vernon’s life will be held at Victory Homes 56 Senate Dr. in Rockford on Friday October 20, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Advantage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
