Virginia was born April 4, 1923 in Pawhuska, OK, to Robert and Cora (Highland) Wells. Virginia married Anthony Howe in Rockford on May 9, 1946.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Virginia worked for Montgomery Wards in Oklahoma City as an Accounting Assistant. She also worked for Mitten & Hosiery in Rockford. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, and crafts.
Survivors include her daughters, Marian Hanson of Rockford, and Arlene Craig of Palatine; and grandchildren, Keith Hanson of Chicago, Scott Hanson of Rockford, Katherine Craig of Palatine, and Jonathan Craig of Charlottesville, VA.
Predeceased by her husband, parents, brothers, Harvey, Robert, Edward, and Thomas; sisters, Effie Wood, Ida Parrot, Florence Topete, Martha Secondine, and Alice Smith.
Private burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services.
