Warren Garas, 81, of Machesney Park, IL passed away Friday evening, September 20, 2024 at Swedish American Hospital. Warren was born March 18, 1943 in Rockford, the son of Thomas and Lavina (Anderson) Garas. He married the love of his life, Joylene Johnson on March 27, 1965 in Rockford. Warren and Joylene owned and operated Garas Landscaping and brick paving for over 40 years. He loved classic cars and went to car shows all the time, even owned a few himself . Warren had a love for musky fishing.
Warren is survived by his loving wife, Joylene; children, Shawnne (Shawn Scarpetta) Garas and Todd Garas; grandchildren, Dane Hysmith, Hanna Garas, Linzee Garas and Kadyn Garas; great-grandchildren, Zaylen, Novalynn and Wyatt; as well several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roger and Kenny Garas.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
